Congratulations to the Search Commission of Kenilworth PC upon the
completion of their mission to seek and find the next Stated Supply Pastor
for our congregation. It was announced in worship, Sunday July 12 that a
Covenant agreement has been finalized between the Rev. Dr. Jennifer E.
Bales and Kenilworth, and said Covenant has been approved both by
Session and Cascades Presbytery’s Commission on Ministry NE.
Rev. Bales’ position is described as half-time, or 20 hours per week,
beginning August 1, for one year, through July 31, 2027, and is annually
renewable.
Pastor Jennifer will be working at the church part time the first three weeks
of August and will lead worship for the first time August 23. (Pulpit Supply
pastors had previously been contracted for the first three Sundays in
August.) This will conveniently allow Pastor Jennifer to settle into her office
and become acquainted with the people, building, and current practices.
She plans to attend our worship services the first three Sundays in August
when she will have the opportunity to meet and begin to become
acquainted with our congregation.
