KPW (Kenilworth Presbyterian Women) participated in two meals for the Wy’East Veterans Shelter during the month of June. KPC and Oregon Food Bank donated 10 pounds of ham for the June 10th meal. In addition, KPW provided scalloped potatoes, green salad and rolls with butter.
For the June 24th meal, we made beef stroganoff, pineapple fried rice, pound cake and pies. Groceries 4 Grout donated one case of grapes and tomatoes.
Good news from Wy’East: During the months of May and June, 29 veterans were able to transition from shelter life to their own apartment. With this transition, Wy’East has requested donations of blankets, pillows, bedding, towels and toiletries. Please bring donations to the church labeled for Wy’East. Thank you.
